Illustration Friday - Camouflage 2

This topic is right up my alley! Here's another of nature's camouflaged animals: Jaguar, 2 1/2" x 3 1/2", acrylics.

Double wow...great color use here and super rendering. I'm even more amazed that you do so well in such a small area with paints...You can give that to me if you want...(I keep saying that to people hoping someone is crazy enough at some point to take me up on the offer...)

Wow, beautiful! Are you offering it as an ATC?

Thanks for the compliments, folks. :-) I love painting the birds and animals.

LOL, Brine Blank. I don't give my work away, much, though I do trade it. Yes, Studio Lolo, I am offering it as an ATC, through the FineArtsATC yahoo trading group - everything we trade is hand drawn or painted originals. If you'd like to join the group, there is a link here on my blog. ;-)

The eyes have it in this painting. Beauty. Scrolled on down and am happy I did. From the bobwhite to the fabulous VW... All great.

I love the way you have captured the life in his eyes, beautiful!

Thanks. I've discovered that the secret to painting a cat's eyes are to add a green wash in the shadow area below the lid. And of course it is essential to put in highlights.
