Illustration Friday - Cars

I don't often do cars, but I do have these two in stock. The ink on pink doodle is "Jalopy", while the one done with markers is "Road Trip". I'll put these up for now, but perhaps I can do another car in paint this week.

Thank you for visiting my blog. It's my first collage. I like your "doodle" of the jalopy although, I don't consider it really a doodle but a very sophisticated modern art. I enjoyed viewing your IF Signs post and the story behind the Burma signs. Most of all, I love your tribute to your beautiful mother. Good mothers (as well as good fathers) are a child's greatest gifts.

waaa... I just realize that marker can make quite a wonderful color composition :D!

I like both...they are very "Futurism" in style and concept!

I really like the top illustration with the hot pink background! Your tribute to your mother was very touching. I lost my mom last August very unexpectedly. She was only 65. Yours sounded like a wonderful person to know :) I love the letter your daughter wrote to your mother about arriving safely...please send money! Funny!

cool take on a rather mundane subject.
By the way, Ric Ocasek was the lead singer of the band "The Cars".

Wonderful! At first, I thought you were an Haidan woman! :) I'm really attracted to the second drawing. It's strong! :)
Beside Flick'r, are you on any ATCs group?

Very expressive and the lines are very sinuous and fluid!

Thanks for the tip on moving the dog to the back seat. I did some research and made the switch! I'll just let the blog remain as is because so many folks are getting a kick out of it. My dog's (and husband's) safety comes first, so thank you.

Thanks, all, for your comments and compliments. Ces, you are correct; my mother was truly a gift to her children. Traci, you have my sympathy about your loss of your mother.

Eugenia, the three best things about markers are that they are easy to use, they are easy to tote, and that they often force the artist to simplify.

Thanks, Josh, for the information. I was really puzzled by that connection, being "out of it" when it comes to music.

Merlinprincess, yes, I am an active member of the FineArtsATC group. I really ought to link that here... I'll make it a project to figure out how again.

Great, Studio Lolo, you are welcome. I thought you might not have considered the effect of that air bag.
